‘Howard the Duck’ (1986) harks back to the time when Marvel adaptations were notorious for bombing at the box office. The movie features a scene where Lea Thompson’s character lustfully chases Howard, a duck. He turns her down, but not before she says that she can’t stand Howard’s “animal magnetism,” leaving viewers with a bad taste in their mouths.
