Unbelievable! Chrissy Metz’s Jaw-Dropping Transformation That Will Leave You Stunned!

Get ready for an inspirational tale – the life journey of Chrissy Metz. The remarkable actress exemplifies that no matter how many hurdles life throws at you, if you keep trying and don’t give up, you’ll eventually reach success! The part she got on This Is Us totally changed her life, and she still can’t believe she’s living a dream now. So, let’s take a look at Metz’s life, which is full of ups and downs.

Growing Up

Chrissy often shares her lifelong journey of worrying about her weight, which resonates deeply with her character on the show. She confesses that she was always on the heavier side, feeling different from her peers who could indulge in any food without gaining a pound. When she was just 11, her mother took her to Weight Watchers, an experience that was awkward, but like her on-screen character Kate, she realized her mother only meant well.

An Unexpected Career

It wasn’t until her twenties that Metz even thought about acting. She was employed as a teacher when her sister wanted to attend an audition, and Chrissy promised to accompany and support her. Along the way to the audition, she met her old teacher, who encouraged her that she, too, should give it a try. And, while she dreamed of being an actress, she never believed she had a chance. But she gave it a shot and received an unexpected callback. That’s when she decided to follow her goal and relocate to Los Angeles.

A Health Scare

Metz has spent her entire life fluctuating between thin and overweight. Throughout her life, she has tried going on diets and being more active, but every time she did, something would happen, and she ended up gaining more weight than she lost. She shed 50 pounds before moving to LA, but the stress of not landing roles led her to comfort eating, leading to more weight gain. On her 30th birthday, she ended up in the hospital due to a panic attack, which served as a wake-up call for her. She lost 100 pounds in just five months by consuming 2000 kcal a day and taking 20-minute walks. This was a realistic and achievable routine that finally worked. Her role in American Horror Story was another turning point in her life, as it required her to wear a fatsuit, reminding her that she never wants to be in a situation where her weight prevents her from accomplishing anything.
